Jindal Saw Setting Up 30,000 TPA Ductile Iron Pipe Fittings Unit in Andhra Pradesh

Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh: Jindal Saw Limited is implementing a new ductile iron (DI) pipe fittings manufacturing unit with an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes at Haresamudram Village, Bommanahal Mandal, in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.

The proposed facility forms part of the company's broader modernisation and expansion programme at its existing integrated iron and pipe manufacturing complex. The project aims to strengthen domestic production capabilities and enhance the availability of ductile iron fittings used in water supply, sewerage, irrigation and industrial pipeline networks.

The manufacturing unit will complement Jindal Saw's existing ductile iron pipe operations, enabling greater integration between pipe production and associated fittings manufacturing. This development is expected to support operational efficiency, product diversification and the company's participation in infrastructure projects across India.

The broader expansion programme also envisages increased pig iron, ductile iron pipe and sinter production capacities, alongside improvements to captive power generation infrastructure.

The 30,000 TPA fittings unit is currently reported to be under implementation. However, the project-specific investment amount, commissioning schedule and contractor details have not been disclosed.

Once operational, the facility could strengthen Andhra Pradesh's industrial manufacturing ecosystem while supporting India's growing demand for durable pipeline infrastructure and locally manufactured components.
