Capital A Launches ₹400 Crore Fund to Invest in Manufacturing and Climate Startups.

Venture capital firm Capital A has launched its second fund, targeting a corpus of ₹400 crore to back startups in sectors like manufacturing, deeptech, climate, and fintech. The firm plans to invest in 17-20 companies through this fund, with initial investments ranging from $750,000 to $1 million, and total investments of $2-3 million over the lifecycle of each startup.

Capital A expects to close the fund by the end of 2025, with a primarily domestic investor base, including family offices, high net-worth individuals, and returning partners like Manjushree Ventures.

Founder and Lead Investor Ankit Kedia highlighted the potential of undervalued sectors like manufacturing, which he believes can scale rapidly and play a larger role in the startup ecosystem. He also reiterated the firm’s commitment to sectors like climate, deeptech, and fintech, which were key areas of focus in their previous fund.

Established in 2021, Capital A has invested in more than 20 startups, including Jiraaf, Rooter, Bambrew, Riskcovry, and Tan90, and aims to drive long-term value creation with its new fund.
