Karaikal Port lines up with Rs.600 Crore expansion

Karaikal Port line up with Rs.600 Crore as an extension of the second phase expansion.

The port plans to install advanced equipment such as mechanised cranes, construction of railway over bridge and a conveyor system for handling fertilisers.

The commissioning of mechanisation process to transport coal from the vessel to the conveyor belt and then to the stockyard and finally to the railway wagon is underway.
