Lords Chloro Alkali Proposes Doubling Chlorinated Paraffin Wax Capacity to 100 TPD.
Lords Chloro Alkali Ltd. is set to significantly expand its production capabilities for Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW), proposing to double its installed capacity from 50 metric tonnes per day (TPD) to 100 TPD at its facility in Rajasthan.
This expansion is driven by a combination of factors, including consistent growth in demand for CPW, the company's current plant utilization exceeding 80%, and strategic opportunities within the downstream chlorine and hydrogen value chains. Management has identified a robust business case for this capacity enhancement.
The ambitious project is slated for completion by the end of the current financial year, FY 2025-26. Lords Chloro Alkali is actively pursuing all necessary statutory clearances and procurement activities to ensure this timeline is met.
The estimated investment for this expansion is approximately ₹30.00 crore, which will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and sanctioned credit lines.
This increase in capacity is expected to bring several benefits, including greater economies of scale, improved absorption of fixed costs, and enhanced product availability to meet the growing market demand. Furthermore, it will allow for more efficient utilization of chlorine, a key raw material in CPW production.
