Madrid plans €215m public transport expansions

A €200m north eastern extension of Madrid’s Metro will be built to serve the under-construction Valdebebas urban development.

The 4.5km extension will run from the Feria de Madrid station on line 8 and provide access to the under-construction City of Justice and Emergency Hospital.

The first of the new Metro stations in Valdebebas will be located across from the current Cercanias station, and will act as an interchange with other public transport.

The other two stations will serve the central and northern parts of the Valdebebas area.
