Merc-Benz India inaugurates new facility in Pune

Pune: Mercedes-Benz India formally inaugurated its new manufacturing plant and facility at Chakan in Pune.

The new facility was completed within 13 months and is among the fastest green-field projects to be created. Spread across an area of 100 acres of land and with independent assembly facilities for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, the infrastructure can address future expansion, underscoring the long-term growth plans of the company in India.

Present at the launch were Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ashok Chavan, Member of Parliament Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, Member of legislative assembly Diliprao Mohite Patil and others.
