MTV Network awards contract to HCL Tech

New Delhi: US-based MTV Networks (MTVN) has awarded its online media platform development outsourcing services contract to HCL Technologies (HCL Tech).

The contract covers work on various brands of MTV Networks, including MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.

HCL Tech will develop the underlying technology that will enable MTV viewer to watch the programmes online. It will also provide application development and maintenance in MTVN’s online space.

The digital platforms for the deal also covers media player development, site development, social networking platform development, games development, and application and data platforms support. The platforms will be developed and supported using open source technology.
