Pratap Technocrats Secures ₹776-Crore Deal to Deploy 570MWh BESS at NTPC Limited Plants.

Pratap Technocrats recently announced its entry into the green energy sector after signing a ₹776.13 crore contract with NTPC Limited for the deployment of a 570MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

Under the agreement, the company will install a 320MWh BESS at the NTPC Gadarwara power plant and a 250MWh BESS at the NTPC Khargone plant.

Devendra Singh Shekhawat, Chairman of Pratap Technocrats, said the contract marks a significant milestone for the organisation. “This project reflects the trust placed in our execution capabilities and strengthens our role in supporting India’s transition toward resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure,” he said.

The deployment is expected to improve energy reliability and operational efficiency across both sites while supporting India’s broader goals of sustainability and energy security, the company said.

A Gurugram-based telecom infrastructure provider, Pratap Technocrats has recently expanded its footprint in the public infrastructure space, including winning three middle-mile network packages under the government’s BharatNet Phase 3 programme for Rajasthan, Haryana, and Assam.
