Rohan Murty setting up innovation lab in Boston to work on automation, artificial intelligence.

Rohan Murty, son of Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy, is setting up an innovation laboratory in Boston that will work on automation, artificial intelligence and other next-generation computing technologies, his first big initiative after he exited India's second-largest software firm last year.

The lab will be funded by the Murthy family and is expected to be operational in 6-12 months, according to three people aware of his plans, who requested anonymity. ET could not immediately verify the amount of funding for the lab.
