"SJVN Subsidiary Secures 1,352 MW Solar Power Projects"
SJVN's wholly-owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), has been awarded a letter of award for a combined capacity of 1,352 MW of solar power projects. These projects are slated for development across various locations in Nashik, Solapur, Ahmednagar, and Pune districts of Maharashtra, under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana.
The total investment required for the execution of these projects is estimated to be ₹7,436 crore. As per the company's regulatory filing, SGEL successfully secured these projects through competitive bidding in the tender floated by MSEB Agro Power Limited (MSAPL), Maharashtra. The tender, comprising 1,500 MW (500 MW in Round 1 and 1,000 MW in Round 2), aims to harness solar energy for agricultural purposes, with a total capacity target of 7,000 MW.
This significant achievement underscores SJVN's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to the sustainable development of Maharashtra's energy infrastructure.
