Solvay plans to set up hydrogen peroxide plant in Russia.

Solvay has signed an agreement with Siberwood Llc to examine the construction of new hydrogen peroxide capacity in Russia, using Solvay’s innovative myH2O2 technology which is particularly suitable for large customers requiring secure on-site production in remote areas.

Solvay and Siberwood are assessing whether Solvay is to build a Satellite Peroxide production unit, known as myH2O2, on Siberwood’s green-field project of producing 900,000 tonnes of market pulp per year, in the Krasnoyarsk region, Siberia, Russia.

This tailored, on-site unit would be fed by the excess hydrogen feed-stock from Siberwood’s upstream chemicals plants and supply hydrogen peroxide to Siberwood.

Solvay’s myH2O2 Satellite Peroxide production units’ unique performance for safe, reliable and competitive operation originates from multiple patented innovations in process intensification and in compact, skid-mounted design.

Solvay Peroxides - which operates 17 plants in North and South America, Europe & Middle East, Asia and Australia - runs the world’s biggest hydrogen peroxide plant in Map-Ta-Phut (Thailand).
