SPML Infra Bags ₹186.41 Crore POWERGRID Substation Extension Contract in Rajasthan

Rajasthan, November 4, 2026: SPML Infra Limited has secured a contract worth ₹186.41 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) for the extension of high-voltage transmission substations in Rajasthan.

The contract covers extension works at the 765/400/220 kV Bhadla-III Substation and Ramgarh Pooling Station under the 765 kV Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) Extension Substation Package SS-155T.

The project involves strengthening extra-high-voltage transmission infrastructure to facilitate efficient power evacuation and improve grid connectivity in Rajasthan, a major renewable energy generation hub.

The substation extensions are expected to enhance transmission network capacity and support the integration of additional renewable energy generation into the national electricity grid.

The contract further expands SPML Infra's portfolio in India's power transmission and distribution sector.

The project aligns with ongoing national investments in transmission infrastructure required to accommodate growing solar and wind generation capacity while strengthening grid reliability and supporting the country's long-term energy transition objectives.
