Suzlon, Yanara Extend Partnership with 306 MW Wind Turbine Orders.
Suzlon Group and Yanara have extended their partnership with the signing of two new wind turbine supply contracts aggregating 306 MW for Yanara’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. The two contracts are for 153 MW each.
The latest orders further strengthen Suzlon’s presence in Rajasthan’s wind energy market, while supporting Yanara’s expansion across multiple renewable energy technologies. Suzlon has installed over 2.3 GW of wind capacity in the State, representing around a 44 per cent market share, and is currently executing additional engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects totalling 791 MW.
Under Yanara’s two FDRE projects in Barmer, which together have a planned capacity of about 800 MWp, Suzlon will supply and install 102 S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3 MW. The turbines will be mounted on hybrid lattice towers. Power generated from the projects will be used in part to meet Yanara’s power purchase agreement obligations with utilities such as NTPC and NHPC.
