Tamil Nadu Government Unveils Coastal Infrastructure Projects in Pudukottai.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin recently inaugurated, via video conference, completed projects of the Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department in Pudukottai district.

The projects include a multi-purpose seaweed processing park, an upgraded fishing harbour, a fish landing centre, a modern fish retail outlet, and an integrated training centre. Additionally, infrastructure in three coastal fishing villages has been strengthened to better withstand climatic conditions, supporting local fishermen and enhancing livelihood opportunities.

Officials said the initiatives aim to modernize the fisheries sector, improve market access for fishermen, and provide skill development and climate-resilient facilities to coastal communities in Pudukottai.
