Tata–JLR Commissions Ranipet Plant; CM Stalin Presides Over Inauguration.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles recently rolled out the first Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicle-the Range Rover Evoque-from the Tata Motors–JLR manufacturing facility at Panapakkam in Ranipet district, about 90 km west of Chennai.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) vehicle plant at the industrial estate and drove the first car for a short distance within the factory premises.

With the commencement of operations at the facility, Tata-JLR has become the sixth automobile manufacturer to produce vehicles in Tamil Nadu, joining Hyundai, Renault, Nissan, BMW and VinFast.
