Taural India, a leading integrated aluminum foundry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to expand its advanced manufacturing facility in Supa, Ahilya Nagar. The agreement, aimed at fostering industrial growth and self-reliance in Tier II regions, was formalized at the Maharashtra Pavilion during the World Economic Forum in Davos. The ceremony was presided over by Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and senior government officials.
“This ₹500 crore investment marks a defining moment for Taural India as we scale new heights in advanced manufacturing,” said Bharat Gite, MD and CEO of Taural India. “The Supa plant expansion is not just about increasing capacity; it’s about decentralizing industries, empowering Tier II and Tier III regions, and contributing to Maharashtra’s vision of becoming a $1 trillion economy.”
Taural India’s current 300,000 sq. ft. facility in Pune provides comprehensive aluminum sand-casting solutions, from product design to quality testing, painting, assembly, and delivery. The expanded Supa facility will be four times larger to meet growing demand across sectors such as energy, defense, aerospace, marine, railways, and healthcare.
With this significant investment, Taural India aims to drive innovation, empower local talent, and enhance India’s self-reliance in critical industries while contributing to Maharashtra’s industrial and economic ambitions.
