Telangana Govt Sets Up ‘1Bio’ Bioprocess Design and Scale-Up Facility in Hyderabad.

Telangana’s 1 Bio, billed as India’s first single-use bioprocess design and scale-up facility, was inaugurated recently in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley.

The state government said the new facility addresses a longstanding gap in affordable, reliable scale-up infrastructure, despite Telangana’s strong base of scientific talent and its leadership in vaccines and biosimilars.

Designed to support both start-ups and established life sciences companies, 1 Bio will offer end-to-end process development and pilot-scale validation services. The initiative aims to help innovators cut capital costs and shorten development timelines by providing access to advanced bioprocessing capabilities.
