Textiles Ministry Approves 17 New Applicants in Third Round of PLI Scheme Selection.

The Textiles Ministry has approved 17 new applicants in the third round of selection under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for textiles, with a total investment commitment of ₹2,374 crore, the government said.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the proposed projects are expected to generate sales of over ₹12,893 crore and create employment for approximately 22,646 people in the coming years.

With this third round, the total number of approved applicants under the PLI scheme has reached 91, following 74 approvals in the first two rounds.
