'Warangal to be developed as satellite corridor for Hyd'.

Stating that the state government was making efforts to provide employment to youth in Warangal itself, IT minister KT Rama Rao said the government was developing industrial corridor and incubation centres in Warangal to provide maximum employment to local youth.Speaking at a function organised to sign four Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between private companies and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) at National Institute of Technology (NIT) here on Saturday, the IT minister said his government, through various skill development and other programmes was trying to develop skills among youth so as to accommodate them in various companies coming up in the district.

“Warangal has a lot of engineering and other professional colleges. Hence, the government was taking steps to provide jobs to students coming out from these colleges. We would be bringing a lot of companies to the district which would enable local youth in securing jobs,” he said.

“Like Mysuru is a satellite industrial corridor for Bengaluru, we want to develop Warangal as a satellite industrial corridor for Hyderabad. All the future projects and investments would be diverted to Warangal. We want to develop Warangal on par with Hyderabad,” he asserted.According to him, the state government would be sanctioning an additional fund of Rs. 25 crore for setting up incubation centres in Madikonda incubation centre on the outskirts of Warangal city. “We would bring more number of units in this incubation centre. We would be setting up TASK’s permanent campus in the centre to train youth,” he informed.

Expressing serious concern over youth committing suicide due to failures, the young minister said youth need to be psychologically strong as just by not succeeding in their mission does not mean everything is over, they should continue their efforts till they succeed. TASK CEO Sujiv Nair said their centre would target unemployed youth, college students and industrial workers for providing various skills. He said the centre would bring synergy among institutions of government, industry & academia with an objective of offering quality human resources and services to the industry. TASK had already trained over 1 lakh people in various skills, he informed.

Former captain of the Indian cricket team Krishnamachari Srikanth, in whose company EnglishStrokes had signed an MoU with TASK, said his organisation would help youth learn English and communication skills. EnglishStrokes would train youth in collaboration with British council, he said.
