Work on Koppal railway line to start soon
Raichur: K.Veerupakshappa, Koppal M.P., has said that work on the Munirabad-Mahaboobnagar railway line is expected to begin from next week.
He said the State Government had approved the commencement of work on the railway line. Mr. Veerupakshappa said that the Ministry of Railways had sanctioned Rs. 5 crore in the State Budget for work on the railway line.
In the first phase of the work, between Ginigera and Jabbalgudda in Koppal district, officials had acquired land to start the project. The State Government had also sanctioned Rs. 39 lakh to take up work on a proposed railway bridge between Ginigera and Jabbalgudda, and the tender process was in progress, he said.
He said the South Central Railway, in coordination with the Koppal district administration, had organised a programme to launch the commencement of work on the first phase near Budgumpa village.
