Yashoda Cancer Institute opened in AP
Hyderabad: Yashoda Cancer Institute, a stand-alone 150-bed sophisticated facility of the Yashoda Hospitals’ Group was inaugurated by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
This is the fourth medical facility of the Yashoda Group in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The Institute is the first in Asia to go in for the latest RapidArc technology for radiation therapy which facilitates precise, accurate and faster treatment while causing less discomfort to patients.
According to Dr G.S. Rao, Executive Director, Yashoda Hospitals’ Group, the institute is the first in Andhra Pradesh to open a full-fledged bone marrow transplantation centre. It also has a department of nuclear medicine with time of flight PET-CT technology, Gamma Camera, Hepa Filtered Operation Theatres for major and minimally invasive onco surgeries and an inpatient and daycare chemotherapy unit.
The institute also has modern onco diagnostic labs, MRI and dual-head CT scan, digital mammography and digital X-ray.
