Bharat Electronics Bags New Defence Contracts Worth ₹537 Crore.

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced the securing of new orders valued at ₹537 crore. These additional contracts encompass a diverse range of critical defence systems and components, further strengthening the company's robust order book.

The newly bagged orders include advanced communication equipment, the specialized Advanced Composite Communication System designed for naval vessels, jammers, cutting-edge software solutions, upgrades for simulators, essential spares, and various test rigs, among other items.

This latest announcement follows closely on the heels of significant contract wins earlier in May. At that time, BEL had signed a landmark agreement with the Indian Army Air Defence for the manufacturing of the Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System (IDDIS). In the same disclosure, BEL also revealed it had received additional orders worth ₹572 crore. Key components of those earlier orders included the IDDIS itself, Software Defined Radios (SDRs), Data Communication Units (DCUs) for attack guns, AI-based solutions for naval ships, simulators, a range of communication equipment, jammers, spares, and comprehensive support services.

These continuous order inflows underscore BEL's pivotal role in supplying advanced electronic systems and solutions to the Indian armed forces, contributing significantly to the nation's defence capabilities.
