"Hyundai to Establish Mega Test Centre in Telangana"
South Korean automotive giant Hyundai has unveiled plans to establish a substantial Mega Test Centre in Telangana, set up through its Indian subsidiary, Hyundai Motor India Engineering Pvt Ltd. (HMIE). The new facility will feature an automotive test track and a manufacturing unit for test vehicles, including electric models.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Hyundai officials in Seoul on Monday. Chief Minister Reddy, accompanied by IT and Industries Minister, is on a four-day visit to South Korea aimed at attracting investments to the state.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, the Mega Test Centre is expected to draw additional affiliates and suppliers to the region, fostering both direct and indirect job creation. The expansion of HMIE's engineering centre in Hyderabad will further contribute to job growth in the area.
A Hyundai official noted, “India is a crucial market for us, and we are dedicated to developing products and technologies that set new benchmarks for Indian customers.”
