Jupiter International Announces ₹550-Crore Solar Cell Manufacturing Expansion in Himachal Pradesh.
Jupiter International recently announced the expansion of its solar cell manufacturing capacity at its Baddi campus in Himachal Pradesh from 2 GW to 3.25 GW with an investment of ₹550 crore.
The Kolkata-based company inaugurated its Unit IV at the Baddi manufacturing facility, adding 1.25 GW of TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar cell manufacturing capacity.
According to the company, the ₹550-crore investment marks a significant technological upgrade, strengthening its capability to manufacture next-generation, high-efficiency solar cells at scale. The expansion comes as the solar industry increasingly shifts towards higher efficiency standards and performance-driven procurement.
The enhanced capacity is expected to bolster Jupiter International's position in India's rapidly growing renewable energy manufacturing sector while meeting rising demand for advanced solar cell technologies.
