KEC International gets orders worth Rs 1,212 crore
KEC International, an RPG Enterprise, has secured orders worth Rs 1,212 crore in the transmission business, the company has orders from the US, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. An order worth Rs 310 crore from the Saudi Electricity Company is for the construction of 110kV /132kV double circuit overhead transmission lines (68 km) and underground cable works (13 km) on a turnkey basis. In US, the company an order valued at Rs 155 crore from Isolux Ingenieria for the supply of 345 kV transmission towers.
In Afghanistan, an order worth Rs 132 crore is for the construction of 220 kV double-circuit overhead transmission lines between Kunduz and Taloqan substations on a turnkey basis. KEC portion of the order, secured under a consortium arrangement, is Rs 104 crore.
KEC's wholly owned subsidiary, SAE Towers, has orders from the US, Brazil and Mexico, totalling Rs 154 crore.
The power system business has got Rs 141 crore worth orders from Kenya, India and Philippines for substation work.
KEC has also got a Rs 59 crore order from Power Grid Corporation for the construction of the 400kV/220kV Tumkur New AIS Substation and 400kV Gooti Substation Extension in Karnataka.
In Philippines, the company orders worth Rs 53 crore from the National Grid Corporation of Philippines for substation works.
Further, the company has secured orders in water business, power and telecom cables totalling Rs 236 crore.
