Kernex Microsystems Bags Major ₹100.53 Crore Contract from Indian Railways.

Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd has received a ₹100.53 crore order, including GST, from Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, for the supply and installation of onboard KAVACH equipment for trainsets.

Under the order, Kernex Microsystems will undertake the supply, installation, interfacing with trainset electrical systems, testing and commissioning of onboard KAVACH equipment as per the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020 Version 4.0 or the latest applicable standards.

The contract also includes warranty support and comprehensive annual maintenance contract (CAMC) provisions.

The order from ICF strengthens Kernex Microsystems’ role in India’s railway safety technology ecosystem, as Indian Railways continues to expand the deployment of the indigenous automatic train protection system KAVACH across its network.

The company will execute the project for trainsets manufactured by ICF, supporting efforts to enhance operational safety and modernise railway signalling and protection systems.
