Marriott to open Residence Inn in Kuwait & Saudi Arabia.

Marriott International has announced plans to open two new Residence Inn properties in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.The Residence Inn in Kuwait City will offer 139 suites, and the Residence Inn Jazan in Saudi Arabia will consist of 79 suites.

According to BNC data, the Marriott Jazan project involves construction of a hotel tower offering 79 studio units and suites that are one and two bedrooms. The studio unit features a wholesome kitchen and an independent living area.

The Residence Inn Kuwait project covers construction of a hotel apartments building comprising a basement level, a ground floor, and 13 additional floors.

By 2018 the company aims to open 12 hotels with an addition of 1,228 rooms to the extended stay sector across the Middle East and Africa. Additionally, six properties in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Gabon, and Ethiopia will be launched soon, doubling the brand’s presence in the region.

The hotel group said in a statement that the openings are in response to increased demand for extended-stay properties within the region.
