Maytas Infra bags bridge contract

Hyderabad: Maytas Infra Ltd has bagged a project for the design, construction, finance and maintenance of a bridge across Vasista branch of River Godavari at Narsapur in Andhra Pradesh.

The proposed bridge would connect Narsapur of West Godavari district with Sekhinatipalli of East Godavari district. The project was awarded to the Hyderabad based company AP Road Development Corporation.

The 391.5-metre long bridge is to be ready in about 24 months from June. The financial closure of the Rs 68-crore project was expected to happen by October 14. The concession period for the project was 12 years with the annuity period of one year.

'The bridge will definitely give a much needed boost to the business activity in the region, and we at Maytas Infra are confident of completing this project on time,'' said Mr P.K. Madhav, CEO, Maytas Infra.
