NIELIT Plans Quantum AI University to Boost Advanced Tech Education in AP.

The Andhra Pradesh government signed seven memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on Friday at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, focusing on skilling and infrastructure development in quantum computing.

“These seven agreements are expected to help Andhra Pradesh emerge as a major Quantum-AI centre, developing the Quantum Valley in Amaravati,” a state government official said.

In a key move, the government also partnered with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) to establish a Quantum AI University in Andhra Pradesh. The institution will be the first deemed university in the South dedicated to AI and quantum technologies.
