NTPC Renewable Energy Commissions 165 MW at Khavda-II Solar Project.

State-run power major NTPC Ltd recently announced that its step-down subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, has commenced commercial supply of 165 MW of electricity from the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV project in Gujarat.

The company said the latest commissioning marks the declaration of commercial operation date (COD) for the fourth phase of 165 MW capacity at the Khavda-II project, effective March 19, 2026, according to a regulatory filing.

Following this addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has risen to 88,709 MW, while its commercial capacity now stands at 87,629 MW, further strengthening its renewable energy portfolio.
