"PM Modi Unveils Projects Worth ₹4,900 Crore in Maharashtra"
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated numerous development projects related to rail, road, and irrigation, totaling more than ₹4900 crores, in Yavatmal, Maharashtra, today. Additionally, he distributed benefits under PM KISAN and other schemes and initiated the distribution of 1 crore Ayushman cards across the state.
During the event, PM Modi launched the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana for OBC category beneficiaries and flagged off two train services. Addressing the audience, he expressed concern over the past leakage in financial assistance to farmers, tribals, and the needy, contrasting it with the seamless disbursement of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi worth ₹21,000 crores, which he initiated with the push of a button, deeming it "Modi ki Guarantee."
PM Modi highlighted that 11 crore farmers across the country have received ₹3 lakh crore under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, with Maharashtra's farmers receiving ₹30,000 crore, including ₹900 crore for Yavatmal farmers. He also announced an increase in the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of sugarcane to ₹340 per quintal and lauded the launch of the world's largest scheme for constructing food storage at the Bharat Mandapam.
Touching upon the long-pending irrigation projects, PM Modi informed the farmers that 60 out of 100 projects have been completed in the last decade, with 26 of them from Maharashtra.
The Prime Minister emphasized his government's commitment to the welfare of marginalized communities, mentioning schemes such as the Vishwakarma Yojna for artisans and handicrafts men worth ₹13,000 crores and the PM Janman Yojna for tribals worth ₹23,000 crores, stating, "Modi has not only cared for those who were never cared for but also worshipped them."
