SPML Infra bags orders worth Rs. 1,275 cr from Rajasthan govt.

SPML Infra recently said its joint venture with Tata Projects has secured three new orders for design and construction of sewerage systems with provision of treated wastewater reuse from the Rajasthan government.

The orders by Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water Sewerage and Infrastructure Corporation Limited for 11 cities in the state are for a total value of Rs. 1,275 crore, it said in a statement.

These projects are envisaged as decentralised sewage treatment projects similar to the ones being proposed under Namami Gange program. The treated wastewater reuse can provide alternative source of water, reduce pollution to ground water sources, improving health and economic productivity, it added.

The first order of Rs. 480 crore is for the development of sewer system in Bharatpur, Gangapur, Hinduan and Churu cities.

The second order of Rs. 417 crore is for the same in Udaipur, Nagaur, Sujangarh and Baran and the third order of Rs. 378 crore is for the development of sewer system in Chittorgarh, Beawar and Bundi.

The scope of work in all orders is for the design, construction and commissioning of sewage treatment plants and sewage pumping stations along with sewer networks that will be completed in 24 months with 10 years of operation and maintenance.

Thirty-four sewage treatment plants with total capacity of 74.4 million litres per day will be constructed with latest technology for high-level treatment efficiency.
