Texmaco Rail Secures ₹78 Crore Contracts from Maha-Metro and Central Railway.
Texmaco Rail & Engineering recently announced that it has secured two infrastructure contracts worth over ₹78 crore from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (Maha-Metro) and Central Railway, strengthening its role in India’s rail electrification and infrastructure development initiatives.
The ₹44.61-crore Maha-Metro order covers the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of systems for the PCMC–Nigdi elevated extension of the Pune Metro. The scope includes a 25kV flexible overhead catenary system, sectioning posts, a 33kV auxiliary sub-station, and SCADA systems. The project is scheduled for completion within 110 weeks.
In a separate contract, Texmaco has received a ₹33.89-crore order from Central Railway for the Ahmadnagar–Beed–Parli new broad-gauge line. The work involves design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 132kV/55kV Scott Connected Transformer system, with a completion timeline of 12 months.
Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director of Texmaco Rail & Engineering, said the orders reflect the company’s ongoing contribution to India’s infrastructure growth and will help strengthen the country’s rail network while supporting self-reliance and local manufacturing goals.
Texmaco operates across three business segments—Freight Cars, Rail Infrastructure, and Green Energy & Infra–Electrical—with manufacturing facilities in West Bengal, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh. The company serves Indian Railways, private clients, and export markets, and has joint ventures with global firms including Wabtec and Touax.
The latest contracts reinforce Texmaco’s expertise in railway electrification and power systems, aligned with the government’s Make in India and Aatma Nirbhar Bharat initiatives.
