Waaree Energies, a leading solar energy solutions provider, announced on Monday the successful delivery of 850 megawatts (MW) of solar PV modules for projects currently under development in the United States by Acciona Energia, a Spain-based renewable energy company.
The collaboration between the two companies extends beyond this initial achievement, as they have also formalized a three-year agreement. Under this agreement, Waaree Energies will continue to supply an additional 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of solar modules to Acciona for upcoming US projects scheduled between 2024 and 2026.
Waaree Energies fulfilled the 850 MW solar PV module order by providing its advanced monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear cell panels. These modules were utilized in four major solar projects: 56 MW in Fort Bend (Texas), 129 MW in High Point (Illinois), 288 MW in Union (Ohio), and 375 MW in the Red Tailed Hawk Solar (Texas) projects.
In addition to the current deliveries, Waaree Energies has positioned itself as a major contributor to the renewable energy landscape in the US. Having supplied more than 4 GW of solar modules to customers in the US in 2023, the company continues to play a pivotal role in advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Remarkably, Waaree Energies achieved the delivery of the modules four weeks ahead of the agreed schedule. This timely completion allowed Acciona to adhere to its project commercial operation date timelines, demonstrating the efficiency and reliability of Waaree's services.
