Central Government Sanctions ₹55,000 Crore Worth Projects for Assam, Says Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Himanta Biswa Sarma recently said that central projects worth around ₹55,000 crore have been sanctioned for Assam over the past year.
Addressing a press conference, the Chief Minister outlined a range of infrastructure initiatives that have been approved or are in the pipeline for the state. He said the clearances mark significant progress on commitments made by the Centre.
“The Centre had assured infrastructure projects worth ₹80,000 crore during the second Advantage Assam investment summit last year, and the state has already received approval for different projects worth ₹55,000 crore,” Sarma said.
He added that the sanctioned projects span multiple sectors and are expected to accelerate infrastructure development and economic growth in Assam.
