Talks on Kishan Ganga project stalled
Lahore:<>/b> Negotiations between the Pakistan Indus Basin Water Commission and its India counterpart stalled on the Kishan Ganga dam for the third consecutive day. Pakistan has raised six objections on the project design, but were rejected by Indian Commissioner Oranga Nathan.
The final round of talks will be held here on June 3 with a meeting to be held in the third week of July in Delhi. Pakistan's Indus Basin Water Commissioner Jamaat Ali Shah confirmed that the talks had stalled. 'We will try our best to solve all questions and issues regarding the Kishan Ganga at the Commission level. If we fail to do so we will go to the International Reconciliation Court, and to neutral experts to solve the case,' he said. He said Pakistan had raised six objections on the project design but Nathan had rejected.
