Saudi Arabia, Bahrain Ink Deal to Complete Medical City Project.

Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have signed an agreement aimed at facilitating the completion of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City, a significant joint project underscoring the strong ties and cooperation between the two Gulf nations.

The agreement was signed during the visit of Saudi Arabia's Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, to Bahrain. On Sunday, King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain met with Minister Al-Bunyan at Al-Sakhir Palace.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City project is being carried out by the Arabian Gulf University and represents a major collaboration in the crucial fields of medical education and healthcare infrastructure.

During the meeting, Minister Al-Bunyan conveyed greetings and well wishes from Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to King Hamad, along with their hopes for Bahrain’s continued progress and prosperity. The Saudi minister also emphasized the high importance Riyadh places on strengthening its longstanding relationship with Bahrain, particularly within the education sector.

King Hamad welcomed the Saudi minister and reciprocated the warm regards. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s deep appreciation for the robust relationship shared with Saudi Arabia and expressed satisfaction with the progress of various joint projects. King Hamad specifically highlighted the King Abdullah Medical City as a project that truly reflects the depth of cooperation between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
