"EaseMyTrip Ventures into Hospitality Sector with Launch of 5-Star Hotel in Ayodhya"

EaseMyTrip.com, a prominent online travel tech platform in India, has revealed plans for its latest venture: a luxurious 5-star hotel in the prime area of Ayodhya. The proposal has received in-principal approval from the company's board. This joint venture aims to provide pilgrims and tourists with a rich and comfortable experience, particularly given the hotel's strategic location near the iconic Shree Ram Mandir.

Situated less than a kilometer away from the revered temple, the hotel promises guests a unique blend of spirituality and luxury. The decision to establish such a venture in Ayodhya underscores the significance of enhancing the visitor experience at pilgrimage sites. In 2022 alone, religious tourism witnessed a staggering 1439 million tourists, generating INR 1.34 lakh crore in revenue. The sector is projected to generate a revenue of 59 billion by 2028 and create 140 million temporary and permanent jobs by 2030.

EaseMyTrip has committed to investing up to INR 100 crores in Jeewani Hospitality Private Limited, the entity overseeing the project. This investment will represent 50% of the total paid-up share capital of the joint venture company, subject to finalization through equity swap.
